This emerging Tier 3 construction business delivers complex multidisciplinary projects. Due to sustained growth, they are seeking an experienced project manager to join their Darwin team
About the role
Work closely with project teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Develop new and nurture existing client relationships
- Obtain quotations from various sub-contract trades, comparing & contrasting each in order to maximise project cost-efficiency
- Effectively liaise with the client & sub-contractors to ensure the smooth running of each project
- Assist in Defence tender preparation
- Assist in financial programming & budgeting
- Site management & management of site safety
- Liason with IPSA management and various stakeholders

Skills and experience
- A bachelor of construction management or related
- Or a trade background with appropriate experience will also be considered
- Possess a minimum of 5 years in the construction industry
- Formal Project Management training
- Strong time management
- Strong communication skills – both written & verbal
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies & processes
- Demonstrate safety leadership
- Experience at developing Defence proposals, budgets and schedules
- At least 5 years Defence project management experience
- Full project lifecycle project management experience with a proven track record of on-time, on budget and on spec delivery
- Previous experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial
- Proven track record in managing and coordinating large complex Defence projects.
