What You'll Do
- Take charge – Lead site teams and subcontractors, make critical decisions, and drive project performance across major $25M+ programs
- Own the outcome – Manage every phase from establishment through to completion; supervise daily operations, quality, and safety with full accountability
- Build & mentor – Develop your team, provide clear direction, identify talent, and grow future leaders alongside you
- Drive excellence – Maintain rigorous standards through detailed reporting, quality compliance, and continuous improvement
- Lead on safety – Champion a strong safety culture; conduct inductions, briefings, risk assessments, and investigations—protecting your team every day
- Partner with stakeholders – Liaise with clients, consultants, and surveyors; build relationships that drive project success
- 4-5+ years leading site teams in civil construction – you've done this before and delivered results
- Safety Induction Card, First Aid Certificate, and Certificate 3 in Civil Construction (or equivalent trade)
- Natural leader – comfortable giving clear direction, holding teams accountable, and supporting crew development
- Technical grasp of modern construction methods and project delivery
- Strong communication skills – can explain complex issues clearly and handle difficult conversations
- Comfortable with MS Word, Excel, and Project Management tools
- Tertiary qualification (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related)
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Passion for safety excellence
