Meet the Directors

Ash Mcgrath

Director & Co-owner

Ash McGrath is a proud “Wongi” Indigenous family man who after growing up in the back blocks of W.A, was drafted to The Brisbane Lions AFL team as a raw 17-year-old .

Ash grabbed this opportunity by both hands and went on to achieve a stellar 14 year, 200 + game  career in the AFL that only most young boys and girls can dream of.

After footy Ash wanted to give back to the community and subsequently took up a role with The Clontarf Foundation where he has dedicated himself to providing support and guidance to young indigenous men in terms of education and employment.

After five successful years in this role Ash wanted to-do more and also focus on genuine employment outcomes for Indigenous communities, after lengthy discussions with long term friend Paul Gay Director of Foundation Recruitment they have created Foundation Yakka-Dulli. As a Director and Co-owner with Paul Gay, Ash is eager to focus on identifying real jobs and life changing opportunities for Indigenous and Non Indigenous communities all over Australia.

Paul Gay

Director & Co-owner

Paul Gay is a proud father of two and a Recruitment Services professional having worked in the sector since 1995 (28 years).

Originally from the Mornington Peninsula, Paul got his first opportunity in recruitment off the back of his local AFL profile.

His first entry to the recruitment sector required him to coordinate at risk students make the transition from school into the workforce via Traineeships off the back of a successful , local government funded program called “Job’s Net” . Paul quickly rose through the ranks and after only three years was engaged as Employment Nationals , National Business Development Manager.

After a move to Queensland in 2004, Paul aligned himself with a top tier recruitment consultancy where he quickly progressed again to become their leading Construction Management Recruiter.

In 2007 Paul took a leap of faith and created Foundation Recruitment , at that stage focusing on permanent recruitment across the “Built” environment. It’s been almost 20 years now and the business has evolved across this period to now also incorporate our specialist Indigenous Labour Hire business, Foundation “Yakka-Dulli” !

Sharing his time between both our Brisbane / Sunshine Coast & Darwin office, Paul is still “on the tools” recruiting for highly valued clients as well as working closely with his fellow Director, Ash McGrath in expanding on the Foundation Yakka-Dulli business that now compliments the many long-term relationships with clients and candidates that the group has developed over the last twenty years.

Having also enjoyed a significant 20 year + AFL career at Semi-professional and community level, Paul like Ash, applies many of the attributes developed in team sport to his business approach including a tenacious approach to securing long term tangible solutions for both his clients and candidates.
