We are seeking an experienced Electrical Automation Technician to join our team and support the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of our plant automation systems. Working closely with the Site Electrical Manager, you will play a key role in electrical fault‑finding, instrumentation calibration, system testing, and integrating new equipment into existing control infrastructure.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant automation systems
- Electrical fault‑finding and diagnostics across site equipment
- Testing, calibrating, and maintaining existing instrumentation
- Assisting with integration and commissioning of new equipment
- Delivering small to medium PLC and SCADA‑related projects autonomously
- Working collaboratively with the Site Electrical Manager and wider team
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and operational standards
- Current NT Unrestricted Electrical Licence
- Instrumentation qualifications (highly regarded)
- Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, Telemetry and VSD systems
- Ability to develop and implement PLC/SCADA projects independently
- Strong instrumentation and calibration experience
- Excellent electrical fault‑finding skills
- Strong computer literacy and a logical, methodical approach to problem‑solving
- A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
