Foundation Recruitment are seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering critical services across Defence estates in the Northern Territory. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding lives and assets through robust fire safety systems and compliance.
About the Role
As a Fire Engineer, you will provide comprehensive oversight and management of Fire & Life Safety Systems across multiple Defence bases in the Northern Territory. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing maintenance, inspection, and testing of fire safety systems.
- Coordinating Fire Safety Surveys and ensuring compliance with national and state regulations.
- Developing and implementing fire safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and creating mitigation strategies.
- Providing technical expertise and training to staff and contractors.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to maintain legislative compliance.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in fire safety engineering, ideally within Defence or high-security environments.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to conduct fire safety surveys and risk assessments.
- Tertiary qualification in Fire Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation as a Fire Safety Engineer (or similar).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between Defence bases.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance and DCAC .
