Operations Manager position with a government-owned energy organisation based in Darwin. 
  • Operations Manager - Power Generation
  • Full time -  Fixed term (4 years) with option to extend 
  • $226,322 package
You’ll be responsible for leading the shift-based operations team that runs a important, islanded power network, where reliability, safety and real-time decision making are critical. The role oversees the safe and reliable operation of generation assets (predominantly reciprocating engines) 

Ideal experience
  • Proven leadership in power station, mining, or isolated grid operations
  • Experience running or supporting 24/7 control room or operations teams
  • Strong strategic leadership, resource management and rostering in high-pressure environments
  • Solid understanding of power generation operation involving reciprocating engines.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong leadership in HSE, risk management and incident investigation
