This position will see you based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. This is not a FIFO position and will require you to relocate to PNG.

The Construction Planning Manager is responsible for the development, management, and control of detailed construction programs and procurement schedules across multiple projects. The role places strong emphasis on:
  • Developing logic-driven, resource-aligned construction programs;
  • Updating and forecasting project timelines;
  • Managing advanced local and international procurement planning;
  • Formulating and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to align cost, scope, and program.
The role ensures full integration between time, cost, procurement, and construction sequencing to achieve project milestones and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive end-to-end construction planning across multiple projects
  • Develop and manage critical path programs, ensuring on-time project delivery
  • Lead program updates, forecasting, and delay analysis
  • Integrate procurement timelines with construction sequencing, including international supply chains
  • Manage BOQs to align scope, cost, and program
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation and recovery strategies
  • Provide clear, high-level reporting to senior stakeholders
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Planning Manager / Senior Planner in construction
  • Strong track record delivering complex, large-scale projects
  • Advanced skills in MS Project / P6 and Excel
  • Solid understanding of procurement, logistics, and commercial processes
  • Experience with BOQs, cost planning, and program integration
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
