The Foundation team is recruiting multiple Project Engineers for a long-term Defence Construction project in Darwin, Northern Territory (NT) working with an experienced Defence contractor. The Client has a long history of successfully delivering significant defence projects globally.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to critical defence infrastructure and gain experience on International JV Projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of this high profile project constructed across a extensive program.
 
Candidates must present a clear police record and subsequently be able to obtain Defence Security Clearance.
 
About the Role   
Supporting the Project Manager, Quality Manager and Safety Manager respectively, the Project Engineers will work for each discipline and be their "hands on" support.
 
This will involve working with both site and corporate functions in coordinating information and activities, including materials management, project controls and administration.
Typical Duties included but not limited to:

  • Prepare and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, statements, and invoices.
  • Support the Quality Control Manager and Subcontractor Supervisor in tracking subcontractor costs and issuing back charges.
  • Monitor and report on project expenditures and assist in maintaining project budgets.
  • Assist with HR-related tasks including onboarding and coordination with corporate HR.
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and Superintendents, including compiling monthly reports.
  • Coordinate the flow of technical documents (e.g., drawings, submittals, specifications) between project teams and support departments.
  • Maintain organized systems for data distribution, document filing, and computerized indexing.
  • Track and log submittals and correspondence, ensuring timely updates and reporting.
  • Generate reports and documentation as needed by the Project Manager.
  • Take on additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

What We're Looking For:
 
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
  • 4-year Construction Management, Q,S  or Engineering degree plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with a principal contractor
  • Experience working on Defence projects will be well received
  • Must have worked with a principal contractor
