This is an opportunity for a practical, outcomes-focused construction professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects from award through to handover. A trade background, particularly in carpentry, will be highly regarded.
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects across all stages of the construction lifecycle. This is not a role focused solely on coordination—you will be expected to manage programming, procurement, budgeting, contract administration, client relationships, progress claims and project reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple projects from commencement to completion.
- Developing and maintaining project programmes and construction schedules.
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts and cost control.
- Preparing and submitting progress claims, variation claims and supporting documentation.
- Contract administration and management of project correspondence.
- Monitoring project performance against programme, budget and quality objectives.
- Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality and environmental standards.
- Leading project meetings and providing regular reporting to management.
- A trade qualification, preferably Carpentry/Building.
- Previous experience managing commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Demonstrated experience preparing progress claims and managing project finances.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and commitment to project outcomes.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
