Foundation Contracting has been engaged to source a highly competent Project Scheduler for a long-term Defence Construction project in Darwin, Northern Territory (NT) working with an experienced Defence contractor. The Client has a long history of successfully delivering significant defence projects globally.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to critical defence infrastructure and gain experience on International JV Projects. You will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of this high profile project constructed across a extensive program.

Candidates must be able to obtain Defence Security Clearance ( Ideally Australian citizen) 

About the Role    
Supporting the Project Director and Project Manager , the Project Scheduler  will work for all disciplines and be their "hands on" support when it comes to providing detailed project status information.

This will involve working with both site and corporate functions in coordinating information and activities, including materials management, project controls and administration.
Typical Duties included but not limited to:
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Amending and maintaining the project schedule using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Breaking down tasks into activities , assigns durations , and sets dependencies .
  • Monitors progress , updates schedules, and reports delays or variances .
  • Works closely with site teams to ensure activities are on track.
  • Provides look-ahead schedules and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Adjusts timelines based on real-time changes and issues What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience scheduling across major civil infrastructure projects ( ideally with large scale concrete pavement projects)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in P6  and document management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
  • Engineering / Q.S /  Construction Management, Accounting, or Business degree OR equivalent,
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role on projects of scale.
  • Experience working on Defence projects will be well received
  • Strong MS Office Skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
