About the Role
We seek a competent and proven Senior Project Engineer who can demonstrate capability across varied Building disciplines (Building) ideally within government and defence sector delivery environment. To date, our client's success has incorporated design and construct delivery models such as "Managing Contractor" engagements and we are seeking candidates who have comparable experience.
The focus will see you responsible for the successful completion of the project technical requirements and within budget, time, WHS and quality requirements, including appropriate site supervision, administration and reporting.
With a focus on managing critical project packages, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skillsets at a competent level with a Tier 1 or 2 principal contractor to be considered.
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
- A degree qualified (Construction Management, Q.S, Civil Engineer or Diploma Qualified with experience across varied building packages
- Min 5 years demonstratable experience in construction management with reputable local contractors working on construction projects ranging in value from $50M+
- Be an Australian citizen and be eligible for defence security clearance.
