Location: Darwin (Full-Time, On-Site Preferred)
Remuneration:
Darwin-Based: Up to $200,000 inclusive of superannuation
FIFO (Considered): Up to approximately $150,000 + superannuation
Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a consultancy delivering Independent Financial Auditor (IFA) and commercial advisory services across major government infrastructure projects in the Northern Territory.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role operating in a commercially rigorous, IFA-heavy environment. The priority is maintaining and strengthening delivery capability.
This position is advisory-led with the following approximate workload split:
- 75% Independent Financial Auditor / Commercial Advisory
- 25% Cost Planning & Estimating
Core Capability Requirements
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, or commercial management.
- Strong commercial reasoning and ability to separate contractual entitlement from quantum assessment.
- Experience preparing structured written outputs in a government or infrastructure context.
- Confidence analysing claims, variations, prolongation submissions, and cost positions.
- Ability to operate independently in a small, high-accountability team.
- Willingness to speak up when unclear and seek clarification early.
- Calmness and composure under commercial pressure.
