Site Supervisor — Hospital Projects | Queensland
An established Australian Tier 3 construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of a growing pipeline of hospital and health infrastructure projects across Queensland.
The contractor delivers construction, refurbishment, civil and facilities works across the government, healthcare and public infrastructure sectors. Its portfolio includes hospital refurbishments, health facility upgrades, building remediation, civil infrastructure, compliance works and complex upgrades within live operational environments.
The successful candidate will have strong commercial construction experience and take responsibility for day-to-day site delivery, working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, trades, consultants and client stakeholders.
The Role
You will oversee site activities from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities across hospital and healthcare projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site resources.
- Manage site sequencing, productivity, quality and project progress.
- Ensure works comply with project plans, specifications, WHS requirements and healthcare standards.
- Coordinate site inductions, access requirements, permits and project documentation.
- Identify and manage site issues, risks and construction constraints.
- Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, consultants, clients and hospital stakeholders.
- Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship and compliance.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and daily documentation.
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning and project handover.
The contractor is delivering a range of healthcare projects including hospital refurbishments, facility upgrades, critical infrastructure works, building remediation and compliance-driven improvements across Queensland.
The projects involve working within live healthcare environments requiring strong planning, stakeholder coordination and a high level of safety and quality control. The successful Site Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining programme, managing site interfaces and ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Site Manager or similar.
- Experience delivering hospital, healthcare, commercial or government projects highly desirable.
- Experience managing projects ranging from $5M–$25M.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and subcontractor management.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements.
- Experience working within live operational environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
