We’re looking for a Stores Person to join our team at Robertson Barracks in Darwin, NT. You’ll be handling inventory, stocktakes, and account management, making sure everything is done on time and to the required standards. The role involves following Work Orders and specific instructions to keep things running smoothly.
We’re after someone who’s organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks efficiently. Experience in a similar role, especially in a defence setting, would be a plus.
About the role:
- Receive, inspect, and unload goods
- Organise and store items in the right locations
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders
- Manage inventory and assist with stocktakes
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Communicate with team, suppliers, and customers
- Follow safety guidelines
- Keep licences and skills up to date, attend training
- Maintain records and keep store areas tidy
- Strong skills in the relevant trade environment
- Experience in stores accounting or similar commercial roles
- Valid Australian C-class driver’s licence
- Good communication, problem-solving, and writing skills
- Familiar with computers, including SAP, Microsoft, and Defence systems (preferred)
