We're recruiting experienced TIG/MIG Fabricators for upcoming shutdowns and site‑based maintenance projects across heavy industrial environments. These roles suit tradespeople who can work safely under pressure, deliver high‑quality stainless steel fabrication on tight timelines, and adapt quickly to changing site conditions.
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for:
- TIG welding on stainless steel pipework, plate and structural components
- MIG welding across stainless, mild steel and alloy materials
- On‑site fabrication, repairs, modifications and installation work
- Interpreting drawings, isometrics and weld maps
- Working within shutdown windows, adhering to strict sequencing and QA requirements
- Completing work safely in confined, elevated or restricted areas (where required)
- Strong TIG capability preferably on stainless steel (thin‑wall and heavy‑wall)
- Proven MIG experience across multiple material types
- Ability to work from drawings, isos and site instructions
- Competence with site tools: grinders, magnetic drills, oxy equipment, etc.
- Understanding of heat control, distortion management and weld sequencing in field conditions
- Experience in shutdowns, maintenance or construction environments highly regarded
- Trade qualification in fabrication/welding preferred
- Mandatory: White Card
- Advantageous: Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, High Risk tickets
