We have been exclusively retained by a major Australian-owned transport and logistics business to appoint two Transport Superintendents in Darwin.

About the Company

Established for over 50 years, the business has grown from a single-truck operation into one of Australia’s largest independently owned transport and logistics companies.

The business operates a national network with 2,000+ vehicle assets and 20 distribution centres, providing transport and logistics solutions across the mining, energy, construction and retail sectors.

The Darwin operation supports a broad range of customers and services across Northern Australia, including heavy haulage, linehaul, warehousing, refrigerated freight and specialised logistics.

The two transport Superintendent roles sit under a Retail side and a Project side.

Retail Superintendent
Oversee local produce transport operations, managing approximately 12 drivers and Leading Hands.

Projects Superintendent
Oversee transport operations across mining, gas and bulky product movements, managing approximately 12 drivers and Leading Hands.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced transport or logistics leader with a background in operational management across a variety of fields such as heavy haulage, mining & resources, transport & freight, fleet operations, civil construction, oil & gas or broader logistics.
You will ideally bring:
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ , including drivers and frontline staff
  • Strong transport, fleet or logistics operations experience
  • Ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions
  • Practical, hands-on leadership style
  • Strong communication and people-management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and keep operations moving
  • Strong focus on safety, compliance and performance
  • Confidence to hold teams accountable and drive results
